Grab a sandwich, some fruit, and a salad. Stuff them in a provided paper sack and you are good to go for the day... Easy!

Overall, this is an average place to eat, especially when you are paying a little more for the remote location. We had breakfast there and it was good. It wasn't great. I think they had Peet's Coffee as an option, and it was very good.

The Food Court serves food up cafeteria style all day. Each customer gets in line at various food stations, makes their selection, picks up the food, pays at the cashier, and seats at either communal row tables of 10 on the sides of the eating hall, or individual tables of 4 in the middle of the eating hall.

Registration to the Yosemite Lodge at the Falls gives each adult guest one free coffee voucher per day of stay.

Breakfast: I usually get the standard plate of scrambled eggs, sausage and string potatoes (need to add salt) for about $8. I do like the pancakes, but you may have to wait 5-10 minutes for them to prepare and cook the pancakes. The pancakes can come by themselves -$6, or with scrambled eggs and bacon -about $9. The portions are large except for the meat items, which are skimpy. Get there early, before 730 am, for shortest wait in line and best seating next to the windows.

Lunch: I like the packaged cobb salad, with iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, onions, carrots -with a good selection Paul Newman's own dressing -$10. Pizza and hamburgers are popular.

Dinner: The dish I like is the breaded catfish fillets, or trout almondine -$14. These are best eaten right as they come out of the oven, before they dry out on the serving trays, and usually come with rice/mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Portion size is only about 6 ounces. The bbq chicken is pretty decent, with a very large serving, but messy with the bones. Pork tenderloin OK, but serving size of 6 ounces is too small to fill me up. Spaghetti is already cooked noodles, resoaked in hot water for 30 seconds, and served with two small meatballs in marinara sauce -$11. I saw a lot of uneaten leftovers for this dish on the tables. Avoid the chili, as they used too much chili powder and the meal was dried up by dinner time.

Get here early for dinner, before 6 pm, or face horrendous lines at the cashier. During the summer the clean up crew can't keep up with the leftovers left on empty tables, and there are a lot of leftovers! Remember there are no microwaves in the Lodge rooms, so there is no way to keep the leftovers in your room and reheat them. And the 16" room refrigerator is too small to store much food.

Something for everyone. We all did our own thing. I actually liked the grab-and-go Asian Chicken Salad. It's sort of loud and chaotic, but it's a family place, so you expect that. Ate there several times, and it just hit the spot.
