“Spectacular scenery”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

First vista you see as you enter this massive national park is the majestic peaks of El Kapitan the peak that is a true test of moutaineering skills for the avid climber. Next through the forest you enter the visitor centre of the park which has plenty of facilites. Then you can take various trails that lead you to the spectacular Yosemite higher and lower falls, it is probably the most interesting are aof the park and you can follow trails of all distances and get all the photo's that you need.

“Waterfall Wow Factor”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

The Lower Falls are approx a 10 minute walk from the main car park & the view you get is amazing considering the little effort needed. Walking across the bridge & feeling the spray off the rocks from the waterfall makes you embrace the nature around you. The Upper Falls takes about 1 hour at least to make it halfway up the mountain to get a good closeup view of the waterfall. Make sure you take a couple bottles of water, otherwise its gonna be a long dry-throat walk back down. Even if you're not into nature like myself, you can't not appreciate the scenery surrounding you.

“To the top!”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

One of the best and oldest hikes in the valley and should not be missed, especially if you want to see another perspective of the valley and its terrific domes and peaks. Many find this hike to be strenuous and I would agree in elevation gain but it is doable for many novice hikers as well. A lot of switch backs and clearly marked trails make this a great hike for many. Just make sure to take breaks if needed as the elevation gain will leave the unconditioned winded often. Also, plan on at least 1.5 liters per person to the top and back, also some sort of snack to replenish energy or have lunch at the top. Plan on 2-2.5 hours for an experienced hiker and 3.5-4 hours for the novice to the top and half of that on the way down. Also, the earlier you start, the less people and elements (wind, heat, rain/thunder) you have to worry about. Nothing more beautiful then being at the top of yosemite falls point (one mile further once your at the top and worth it!) early in the morning and seeing Half Dome basking in the morning sun along with the waking of rest of the valley. It is a special place and those that experience the summit would agree. See you on the top!

“Spectacular view an easy walk”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Lower Yosemite Falls is clearly one of the most accessible trails in the park. In fact, it's wheelchair accessible. Prepare for blowing mist during the spring snowmelt. If you are lucky, you may see a black bear wandering in the area!
