“Difficult trek but SO much to see on the way”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

The voyage really lives up to the title! Anyone who hikes the Panorama trail will not be short of beautiful views along the way. You travel across (and underneath) beautiful waterfalls and wilderness. It is classified as a strenuous hike so be prepared, but its definitely worth the effort

“world class hike”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

If it wasn’t for the bottom half of this trail being as crowded as Disneyland on a summer weekend this would be a 5+ star hike! But even with the crazy crowds it’s a MUST hike!!! The scenery on this hike is so incredible its definitely worth fighting thru the crowds on the bottom half of the trail. Ive hiked over 2000 miles in the last 15 years and have hiked thru dozens of national parks and this hike is truly a world class hike, but ONLY from May to mid July when the waterfalls are at there peak. After mid July Id bring the rating down from a 5+ to about a 3. Take the bus from the valley to Glacier point or have someone drop you off or maybe you are lucky enough to have two cars in your group. You have commanding views of Half Dome,Nevada Falls, and Vernal Falls the entire hike. Hiking down from Glacier Point gives you 2 more incredible features you wont see if you hike up from the mist falls trail, and these are crossing over the top of Illouette Falls and outstanding views of the Yosemite Valley and Yosemite Falls. You will have the upper part of the trail almost all to yourself. The crowds start at the top of Nevada Falls. If you only have 1 or 2 days in the park I recommend this hike even more so because it packs in so much scenery in a 4-6hr hike.

“Incredible views ("panorama"), mostly easy hike downhill”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

I did this hike with my wife down from Glacier Point. Really a great trail with incredible views/panorama. Technically not so strong (only near Vernan Falls on Misty Trail - but you can choice easier John Muir Trail for this section.

“Amazing, rewarding and Tough”
Reviewed May 9, 2014 via mobile

I recommend to start the hike from the valley. The way up is hard! Very steep and changes in elevation. You can rest at the top and have an amazing view of the falls and the half dome. Coming down after, should be easy and fun.

“Hike from Glacier Point to the valley”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Have someone drop you off at Glacier Point and hike down. It's the easiest way to get to the top of Nevada Falls. And on the way down, you'll pass Vernal Falls.
