Our trip consisted of half a week in Yosemite and half a week in Lake Tahoe. We used the Tioga Pass Rd (only open in summer) to get to Lake Tahoe, and we are so glad we did. We used a guidebook from Readers Digest to pick out the best stops along the road, and we did a majority of them including May Lake and Olmstead Point. Both of these are definitely must sees! Bring bug spray or wear long sleeves and pants for May Lake hike as the standing water from melting snow caused a lot of mosquitos to be around. This hike is rocky so make sure good shoes are worn and a walking stick may have been helpful in some areas. Not heavily travelled, but an amazing walk with great views on the way up. Hike was about 1 mile up and 1 mile back so definitely doable though you are climbing up an incline to the top of this slope until you reach the lake. So glad that we stopped here for this beauty! Lots of amazing pictures on this hike to stop and take.
