I was a little nervous about driving Tioga Pass after some of the things I'd read. I'm not a huge fan of heights and ledges. The drive was fine, the road is nice and wide, I never felt I was too close to the edge.
The views are phenomenal. At Olmstead point, you get a great view of half dome. Tuolumne Meadows is very nice, and you can meet some very hearty hikers in that area. There are several beautiful lakes to see,
