I was a little nervous about driving Tioga Pass after some of the things I'd read. I'm not a huge fan of heights and ledges. The drive was fine, the road is nice and wide, I never felt I was too close to the edge.

The views are phenomenal. At Olmstead point, you get a great view of half dome. Tuolumne Meadows is very nice, and you can meet some very hearty hikers in that area. There are several beautiful lakes to see,

Tioga pass in on highway 120. The road is excellent albeit closes during the snow season. Traffic is heavy although tolerable during the time we visited. A really enjoyable ride through Yosemite National Park.

We went from Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite in July. We were worried about driving the pass after reading what people had to say but there is nothing to worry about. Beautiful drive on very safe roads. We saw large RV's, coaches and even a gas truck going through without any trouble. Enjoy it!

Guys don't miss it if you are in Yosemite....absolutely gorgeous,we went in June...there was still snow and snow caped top of mountains...breathtaking road...actually liked it more than Yosemite park itself...it was the highlight...wow....
