Owner description: Dramatic drive starting at elevation 6,100 feet outside of Yosemite Valley and finishing 47 miles later atop Tioga Pass.

I was a little nervous about driving Tioga Pass after some of the things I'd read. I'm not a huge fan of heights and ledges. The drive was fine, the road is nice and wide, I never felt I was too close to the edge.

The views are phenomenal. At Olmstead point, you get a great view of half dome. Tuolumne Meadows is very nice, and you can meet some very hearty hikers in that area. There are several beautiful lakes to see,

Enjoy the beauty of this area. Don't miss out!

Tioga pass in on highway 120. The road is excellent albeit closes during the snow season. Traffic is heavy although tolerable during the time we visited. A really enjoyable ride through Yosemite National Park.

We went from Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite in July. We were worried about driving the pass after reading what people had to say but there is nothing to worry about. Beautiful drive on very safe roads. We saw large RV's, coaches and even a gas truck going through without any trouble. Enjoy it!

This pass is something that you can missed. I parked every 10 mins to take pictures. This is where you can get the full experience of national park. There are lake, meadow, panoramic view, and trails for you to enjoy.
