In my opinion, one of the most majestic places on earth. Bring your camera. Limited hiking at the point unless you are prepared to do some heavy descents & subsequent ascents. If you have a really good friend, ask them to drive you to the point and meet them back in the valley. Ha, Ha!

A must do when in Yosemite to take in the stunning beauty. The road does close so attention needs to be paid to that timing. We were fortunate to see Glacier Point a day before it closed - just spectacular and beautiful! There is elevation gain and turns on the road to the top. There is a paved trail to the view point. Lots of parking was available.

If you are looking for stunning views that do not require a hike, Glacier Point is for you. It's a bit of a drive to this part of the park (and lots of elevation gain), but it's worth it for the view. This is perfect for folks that aren't super mobile or don't like to hike; they can get the great views without the effort.

My personal feeling is that the views are vastly better from the top of Sentinel Dome and also from the top of Nevada Falls, but those require some hiking and climbing stairs, so if you're not up for those, this is your place! Heck, even if you've done this and would like a slightly different perspective or some easy access to the views, stopping at Glacier Point is well worth it! We did those other hikes and then did this. We still greatly enjoyed it!

Best view of the whole Yosemite Valley, at least among places that don't require a considerable hike. You can get a very good sense of the geography and the landmarks of Yosemite. Nevada, Vernal and Yosemite falls are readily visible from here as well.
