We drove up to Glacier Point from our lodge. It was quite a drive, but definitely worth it. The majesty of this place is stunning. I wanted to sit here and stare at the view all day. It is a very short walk from the parking lot making this a perfect thing to do for people of all ages and physique. I would arrive early since there aren’t a lot of parking spots. We arrived at about 1000 and spots were already filling up.

It is worth the drive on Glacier Point Drive to see Half Dome, Yosemite Valley, and Vernal and Nevada Falls. It is a curvy road, but we are so glad we made the drive. This was the last stop of our day, and it was beautiful! We walked the short uphill trail to the outlook, and we highly recommend it.

Definitely must be a stop on your visit to Yosemite.
Even if you dont do the trails walk up to the view points and the amphitheatre the view is stunning

This is without a doubt the best place to get an overview of Yosemite Valley. It is an easy hike from the parking lot. It is also wheelchair accessible. It is not an easy drive to the top. There are a lot of switchbacks and sharp turns, but the view is worth it. Make sure you have a full tank of gas before entering the park. Gasoline is expensive inside the park and it is a long drive from any of the towns.

This is a long drive, but short hike (0.25 miles) to great views of the valley, especially the Yosemite Falls and Half-Dome. Tie it in with some other hikes along the road (e.g. Sentinel and Taft) for great views all day.
