We drove 16 miles from the 41 junction. The viewpoint was packed with people. The views of Yozsemite Valley from here are absolutely worth the effort - Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, and on and on.

45 minute drive from the valley floor. Freezing cold and lots of snow still there. Wheel chair access. About 1/4 mile walk to the scenic overlook.
This is a must see! Arrive early because there is a limited number of parking spots. On a higher level you can find more parking spots so drive around the hoop.
this is definitely worth seeing! i was told about this ride by a local. otherwise i wouldn't have known about that. i came there on a bus and descended by foot. it was really really nice day, though the trail is steep.
The hike was simple and we saw several people of all ages making the trip up to the point. See our pictures below! We had a blast and it's worth the stop!
This is a magic place. The view is astonishing, almost hypnotic. I had a chance of seeing it during the day and during the night with the full moon. The full moon illuminates the rocks and you can see the mountains even after midnight. The access by car is closed during the winter and it takes many kilometers if you want to walk there.
