After a slow, winding drive to the point, you will have an amazing birds eye view of the valley floor. From Glacier Point, you pick out all the main features of Yosemite Valley. Make sure that you walk to the different viewpoints at the point. Each viewpoint has a different perspective. If you are a photographer, I would say that 2:00 - 5:00pm in the summer is the best time for photographs. In the morning, a bright sun will burn out your photos. Too late in the afternoon will leave some features in the shadows and will be too dark in your photos.
