I missed the fine print about no AC in the room. We stayed there July 2014 and it was 95 in our room until about 1AM. The room is clean but for $300 per night, I was hoping for a little more. Your other options are the Ahwanee which is $500 or the village for $200 and sleep in a tent. They are severely understaffed so expect to wait for everything. Your other options are to drive for an hour to get out of the park and stay at another hotel/motel but the drive in/out takes forever due to 35MPH limit. Views are great when you get there but don't expect a 4 star hotel

Room Tip: two floors to each unit

This hotel is in the best location in the whole Yosemite Valley..It's casual atmosphere and kid friendly activities are great! But the staff and easy of booking activities was my favorite. We plan on making this our annual summer vacation.

The natural beauty around Yosemite Lodge is astounding. The staff at Yosemite Lodge are friendly and extremely helpful. The only problem is the heat--no air conditioning and cannot leave outside doors open all night for the cool night air, and the screens in the door are not able to be opened. Results in a night too hot to sleep.

Room was extremely hot....no air conditioning. Since it gets cool at night, we figured we'd sleep with the windows open. But apparently the raccoons have been a problem, and they encourage you to close your windows at night. So after 100 degree days, the room was sweltering. And the carpet was filthy. Paying high season rates at the hottest time of year with no air conditioning and an unclean room was a mistake. We should have camped (and I hate camping!)
A few good things....
Great location
Check in was smooth
Food court was adequate
The food in the nicer restaurant on property was surprisingly delicious.
Valley tram tour, which picks up at the Lodge, was great. We took the 6 pm tour (nice and cool at that hour).

We picked the lodge because we have a 1 year old. Normally we stay at housekeeping, but didn't think it would suit the baby's needs. In addition, my husband needed to do some work so he needed wifi, which was very slow. Overall good, but expensive for what it is.

Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is centrally located and offers guests a fairly comfortable and clean place to stay along with a very friendly staff. We especially enjoy the convenient location which is surrounded by trees and wildlife. However, the rooms do not have air conditioning which make for extremely uncomfortable sleeping during the warm summer months (temperatures reaching 100 degrees). For the price that we pay per night, air conditioning should be available!

Room Tip: Some rooms are located in noisier places (near parking, ice machines, main walkways). Therefore, one...

This is the second nicest place to stay on the valley floor, maybe a mile from the ahwanee hotel. The lower Yosemite falls viewing area is a half mile or so from the lobby, an easy walk. Being centrally located in the valley is a big plus!!! I am so glad we stayed here instead of outside the park.

The room itself was fair I would say, with a nice remodeled bathroom, but a dated interior and no air conditioning. Room was hot when we checked in at 9 pm, had to open screened doors and windows and turn on various fans to get temp down. It was clean and neighbors were quiet, so no problems there.

The swimming pool was maybe 80 feet long with a substantial deep end (9 or 10 feet deep) with two lifeguards . There was no diving board, but diving from the side was allowed. You had a view of the cliffs from the pool and practically no one was there at noon. A great swimming pool for guests only , with a guard at the gate.

Food was available at the attached cafeteria and our breakfast there was pretty good and reasonably priced.

All in all I was pleased with Yosemite falls lodge
