The best combination of value and price in Yosemite. From our deck we could see Yosemite Falls. They've done a wonderful job of updating the rooms. Yes, they could have a few more cable channels to choose from, but that's not why you come to Yosemite. You might want to bring your own pillow as the ones provided were very thick and certainly not what we're used to. The updated bathroom was very nice - especially the shower. The food in the Mountain Room is high end and delicious and we enjoyed every meal here. What a great way to enjoy the valley!...

The Lodge at the Falls is a great place to stay in Yosemite if you want to see the waterfalls and all the sights in the valley. It is convenient to restaurants, the food court, shuttle buses and tours. We were in the Alder building and had nice views out our back patio door. We saw deer each morning.

Comfortable 3 night stay in Cottonwood. large spacious room with good bath/shower. Lighting and WI-fi speed were both woeful but the hotel is perfectly located for hiking and a comfortable place to return to. The breakfast in the food court was only average with considerable queues due to understaffing. However the Mountainview restaurant was excellent - great food at reasonable prices for the area.

our wonderful family experience here always goes too fast...we love the newly remodeled rooms and yet they still give the rustic feel that Yosemite is all about...you feel part of the natural setting that John Muir wanted people to know

We've been staying at the Lodge since the 70's, mostly for location near the Falls and convenience to everything in the Valley. Amenities was not one of the Lodge's virtues.

However with the recent renovations, I have to add another star, as the new bed is super comfortable, bathroom has been redone and new rustic-style furniture and the big-screen tv (although who comes here to watch tv?) are nice touches.

Kudos to the management!

Very clean, bed was fine, linens were okay, towels fine. Shower was lovely. Lights were a bit confusing, and wifi was not good, but I wasn't there to answer email anyway. Buses and traffic seem a bit much at first, but once you find you room you have a lovely base. Remember YOSEMITE is just outside your door. !

We booked the rooms a year ago. Yeah, sometimes you gotta book a year in advance.

Been to Yosemite twice before, but this was my first stay at the Lodge. Very good experience.

We were in a second floor room in the Azalea building. Room was clean and well-appointed. We had a view of the Falls from the balcony. Bed was comfy.

Price was reasonable.

Only downside is that there are no coffee makers in the rooms. The woman who checked us in said they're working on that. But they give you coupons for free coffee/tea/hot chocolate that you can get at the nearby food court. They gave us about 20 coupons for a three-day stay. And we could have gotten more.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. I've got to say that about everyone we dealt with at Yosemite -- the cashiers, the tour bus driver, the clerks, the housekeeping staff, servers, etc. etc. etc.

Yosemite is such a great place. And the Lodge helps to make it so.
