The visitor center at the Grand Canyon is the nicest at Yellowstone National Park. Even if you have been to other visitor centers in the park, make sure to see this one too. There is a really great two-floor exhibit area. The exhibits explain the geology and formation of the park. Some of the displays are interactive, which are fun. There is also a really big relief map of the park, which allows you to see the lay of the land. Its a great place to learn everything you ever wanted to know about Yellowstone.
The information desk is also a great place to get info on the canyon trails and roads before you go. When I was there a road was closed for construction and several trails were closed because of weather.
