“Best views”

Here is where you get the best views of the upper falls and the grand canyon the Yellowstone. Doesn't take long to do, but really worth the trip.

“Don't miss this walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

don't miss this, walk from the 1st parking lot, back to artist point if you can! It is BREATHTAKING. In it's own way, just as spectacular as the 'real' grand canyon.

“Not that great ... Much better canyon views from Ribbon Lake Trail”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

It is an easy trail and gives a view into the canyon. However most of it is obstructed by trees. If you want the best viewpoint go on the Ribbon Lake trail starting at Artist Point.

The trail is about 2 miles starting on South Rim Drivenear the Chittenden Bridge. Part paved trail goves good view of the canyons and the forest and the falls to the Artist Point area.

“South Rim Bike Ride”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2012

We did the bike ride and it was it was absolutely fabulous even with an 8 year old ! It was about 16 miles one way, so we rode to the end and put the bikes on the free shuttle bus. There is only room for three bikes so remember that. Also our 8 year olds bike could be carried but not a smaller one and they won't allow it inside the bus, so a tag along bike also would be out of the question if it was smaller. We got out early and roade down a big hill to the bike hire. It was a lot of fun and took us 6 hours.
