“Gorgeous place”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Although it was too expensive a place for us to stay, we had the privilege of enjoying a delicious breakfast in their restaurant. The rustic decor was beautifully presented, and their gift shop made you want to buy everything, it was well merchandised. The staff were very friendly.

“Good Breakfast and Good Coffee”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

Breakfast was great. It doesn't really matter though, because you need to eat at Old Faithful Inn, period. You can go see Old Faithful Geyser before and after breakfast. There are other geysers and pools within walking distance as well.

“Nice stay”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

The room was nice & large, bed was OK in terms of comfort. Large restroom. No a/c in room so we used open windows. Room was decent and comfy but rate was really outrageous at over $250/night. Large hallways throughout the hotel and good location if staying at OF. If I was to do the trip again, I would stay at Canyon longer and just do a day trip to OF as there was really nothing that special about OF.

“Overall a great experience”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

The setting is amazing, with free access to Old Faithful at any time of the day or night. The building is relatively new and the hotel rooms were reasonably good. HOWEVER, we had booked cabins, but there were several problems with this in the winter. The paths were not shoveled and the snow was deep, so any time you wanted to go out to another cabin or to dinner in the hotel you were faced with slippery conditions. The cabins also had no fridges nor telephones. These conditions were not good, coupled with elderly family members but I am happy to say that Amy (the manager) was quick and efficient to make us comfortable in alternative rooms that better suited our family (thanks, Amy!) Some family members mentioned that their rooms were noisy and since the building was built in 1999, this should not have been an issue. Here, as at Mammoth Hotel, waitstaff frequently cleared plates before the whole group were finished eating. The activities offered at this hotel were very well done and nothing was too much trouble.

“Old Faithful”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

Old Faithful is worth visiting no matter how many time you have been. We last visited with my daughter, her husband and son. It was fun to see it again, especially since my grandson and son in law had not been before. My grandson was full of questions. We visited in Oct 2012 it was a cold day and even though we had to park a ways away the path ways are all nice. Afterwords we visited the gift shops and other sides. If it hadn't been cold we would have possibly hung around to see it go off a second time. Their is a park fee but not fee's once you are in the park to see old Faithful or any of the other sites.
