“Saw 7 Wolves”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Visited on 9/5/2012 and saw a pack of 7 wolves chasing buffalo! 3 black, 3 tan and 1 white. Definitely one of our most exciting points in Yellowstone.

You really have to be patient. We sat for about 2 hours around 6pm to see them. Bring binos

“Our favorite wildlife valley”
Reviewed August 29, 2012 via mobile

I am not sure why this valley does not have more reviews.
This place has plenty of wildlife.
Bears, elk,buffalo herds, etc...
Most people who visit Yellowstone drive through this valley.
On our recent trip we saw a bunch of people up on a slight hill near a pulloff.
We walked up and said what are you all looking at? We were told a wolf.
A guy with a super zoom camera let us see the wolf. Very cool.

Best in the mornings and evenings.

“Lots of Buffalo”
Reviewed August 21, 2012 via mobile

We spent three days in Yellowstone and saw mostly Buffalo. Not like when we visited in 1997 and there were elk everywhere. Have they introduced the wolves to drive out the elk? That's what a lot of the locals thought that we talked to. But, we did see alot if Buffalo in this area and ut was neat to see.

“More Wildlife than Lamar Valley Sometimes”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

There were black bears and pronghorns and elk and deer. All this at about 530pm-7pm. Bisons will also wander around the sulphur cauldrons and mud volcanoes in the area and often get stuck in the car parks at which point the park rangers have to chase them out. Amazing to watch.
