Nice collection of colorful geothermal features. Make sure you have a camera. It's an easy walk along the boardwalk. You will be amazed by the colors.

We stopped here in the afternoon and luckily found a parking site. Very busy with tourists and busses. The colour of the pools are absolutely beautiful and terrific for photo ops! There is a hike that goes around back up the mountain/hill a bit so you get a birds eye view of the colours in the pool.

Talk about color. Anyone who is an artist, photographer, or loves nature should stop here. You could spend hours taking it all in even though the walk around is about 30 minutes. Perfect for kids.

This is also handicapped accessible.

Midway Geyser Basin definitely has one of the best collections of geothermal features in Yellowstone. Excelsior Geyser and Grand Prismatic Spring make the trip around the boardwalk well worthwhile. There's a nice variety of features and it was the most colorful basin we visited. Definitely worth the stop on route to or from Old Faithful.

This stop includes Excelsior Geyser Crater, Turquoise Pool, Opal Pool, and Grand Prismstic Spring. You can located it on Google Maps as Excelsior Geyser Crater. Can be crowded here but has a larger parking lot. Colors are even more impressive in person than what I saw on the internet. Nice new board walk all the way around. Be sure and read the signs that explain different bacteria that live in the pools.
