Beautiful clear day; Followed the Biscuit Basin boardwalk while going to the mystic falls trail and my friends and enjoyed various geysers and thermal pools (Black Opal Pool, Sapphire Pool, Jewel Geyser etc). Jewel Geyser erupted as soon as we reached near it. It was a sight! It was not crowded given the time of the day which was a relief. Visit this basin if you have spare time in your itinerary!

Like the Black Sand Basin, the Biscuit Basin has large blue pools and orange/brown bacteria mats that look great in pictures. The boardwalk trail is less than a mile round trip, and so the parking situation is not bad since there is fast turnaround. If you have time it is well worth a visit.

This is one of the shorter geyser basin walks but it is worth the stop. Parking here was actually doable and Sapphire Pool itself it really pretty. This place did get a bit windy though.

Lots of spectacular scenery unique to any park with nice trails to walk as long as you want to. I think the trail leads to an upper view of prismatic springs

Great stop along the Grand Loop. Easy walking around the many geysers & basins. Some of the very small ones were dry, but you can hear the bubbling & gurgling going on under ground. So many different ones & sizes. Steam rising is very warm when it hits you as you walk along, but thankfully there was a breeze. Beautiful HOT blue pools of water. Some even go off with smaller shoots of water. Worth the stop !!
