This is our second visit and so glad we went again. We both love water falls and this is one you don't want to miss!

We did this and the upper falls inside of 2 hours. You can walk dow from the upper falls but it's easier to get here if you park in the Artist View parking lot.

The best views of Lower Falls are found along Uncle Tom's Trail. You have to climb down a whole bunch of steep steps to reach the viewing platform, but it's really worth it. There was a beautiful rainbow at the bottom where the falls join the river. The perspective of looking down on a rainbow as you're climbing into a canyon is truly unique!

You can also see Lower Falls from Artist Point across the canyon. It's much farther away and hard to appreciate it's vastness from that vantage point. However, there's no bad view of the falls as long as you see it.

I probably don't need to even make this comment, but this is an excellent site and an amazing natural wonder to look at. I'm sure everyone would have the same comment.

The trip to the bottom of the falls is about a 600 foot drop on a 3/4 mile trail. Getting down is pretty easy but the trip back up requires good physical conditions or a lot of stops to catch your breath. If you are up to the climb it is well worth the effort
