We stayed at a cabin in the Yellowstone Lake area. The lodge is awesome. We sat out on the covered porch when we checked in and then after dinner and before bed, it is peaceful, just beautiful. They have lots of rocking chairs available. There is a cafeteria, a bar, fireplace and lots of comfy seating, gift shop. You can take a great easy walk around the lake area to Lake hotel area. We saw bison right in the field in front of the lake. That area is not for hiking it is for wildlife. We only had one night at the lake lodge cabins and totally enjoyed our stay.

We used one day driving into Yellowstone from the small town Gardiner in Montana (northern entrance). It became a day full of great experiences, waterfall, rivers, mountains e.g. Highly reccomended trip.

This lake is so big it can be busy and you'd never know it. Lots of areas to go if you are kayaking or canoeing. If you want you can rent a small boat for $50.00 and go out to fish. When the weather came in the mist on the water provided some awesome pictures.

I may not have visited all the national parks in USA, however, the variety of natural wonders in Yellowstone just kept us so excited for the 2 days we spent. Yellowstone is truely unique as it has a variety of natural wonders like travertine, geysers, mud pots, waterfalls, canyons, springs, fumaroles and pertified forest all in one place. The best thing was it places us so close to nature and also to wild lives, as during our trip to Yellowstone, we saw bisons in herds, bears, elks & deer. This is truely the most well-preserved living habitats for these wild lives as they are free to roam about despite of the numbers of visitors.

There are toilets at every attractions and food outlets. Very well maintained facilities throughout the whole park. Impressive.

I will definitely want to visit Yellowstone again if I have the opportunity.

I thought there was no place on earth like Yosemite National Park and then I went to Denali. Well then I had to rethink my perspective! Now I have fallen in love with Yellowstone. The geysers, wildlife, and diversity in the landscape is amazing. I can't tell you how many times I said "this or that is amazing". If you are planning a trip to Yellowstone, invest in a good camera with a really good zoom lens. Don't forget you are at a higher elevation so 65 degrees is definitely warmer then you are probably used to unless you live at a higher elevation. Another cool element is the Park staff! We spoke with people from all over, one as far away as Bulgaria, and they were all very pleasant, respectful, and loved what they were doing.

We spent 5 days inside the Park and did a fair amount of walking so be sure to bring comfortable shoes. We were there in mid June and the weather changed rapidly from hot to rain and back again so be sure to give this element some thought. The worst thing about our time there was people seeing animals and stopping their cars right in the road. Be aware of that.

Love this place and can't wait to go back!
