The Yellowstone lake is quite large and you can drive around the area. It makes a nice background to the Yellow painted Hotel.
Its very peaceful by the lake.

if you like variety this lake has it all - thermal features, solitude, isolated shoreline accessible only by boat. and a wide variety of wildlife if you take the time to look and listen

Standing by this lake, which is rising slowly due to activity below in the rsing magma chamber, you realise that we live on a restless planet over which we have no control whatsoever. To see the beauty of the surrounding forests and the mountains created by exactly the activity going on beneath my feet, made me realise that what, to some are the tribulations of everyday life are as nothing. We have to spend our lives working to provide the things we NEED. Instead of ingulging in the things we want, because it says so on TV and other advertising media, we would be much happier saving any surplus to spend time visiting places like this and try to gain some understanding about what the world is realy all about.

An experience that makes youn witness nature at work. Fantastic to see Ye Olde Faithful still going strong. After who knows maybe a million yrears. And after all this time it is still remains faithful. Now be careful you do not wander very close to it or for that matter any of the other hot springs like Morning Glory or Geysers etc.The whole yellowstonne park is said to be a Caldera. That means a Volcaniv crater mouth. So if the whole Caldera erupts whilst you are within - well its jsut your luck. Besides these natural spots depicting the dormant ener within our planet there are animals to be seen like the Bison. If you could stretch yourimagination back in time and see the whole of the North American plains over run by these stupendpous herds and the dust and thump of their hooves, it seems so pitiable to see these few remnants now. Maybe in Africa the herds of Wildebeasts might suffer this same fate. Who know? Getting back to YNP do plan to spend a whole day there. It will be a memorable trip.Do not forget to take along your cameras, your videos etc so that this memorable event will remain etched in your memory.
