Owner description: Beautiful limestone formations make this hot spring unique.

There are very few geyser areas in the world, and nothing like this, so don't miss it if you are visiting the park. You can easily see some from the parking area, and there are more above that you can see with a short walk. Nice restrooms. The town is well-maintained.

This used to be a must see. However, the reality is that the springs have mostly dried up. This is nothing like it was 20 years ago and if you are running short on time then this is something you could leave off your list. Otherwise, it is a good stop as you drive around the north side of the park. There seems to always be Elk around this general area.

Mammoth spring is impressive for the Travertine, but compared to other attractions in Yellowstone, it is not the best.

I walked around the different thermal basins. It was cool to see the steam rising up. There is also a small waterfall. This is a great wall to walk around and take a break. I would recommend this attraction.

Our family really enjoyed the hike to see all of the Mammoth Hot Springs formations. If we were to do a Yellowstone trip again, we would definitely include a stop here.
