Owner description: Brightly-colored hot spring, the result of algae that live in the water.

If you have time for only one Geyser Basin stop, MAKE IT THIS ONE!!!!! The colors are absolutely gorgeous!!! Easy walking too! We had 5 year olds in our group of 9 and they were able to make this hike, no problem.

The area is stunning the the colors of this Spring are gorgeous, but very dangerous, in my opinion. Very hot temperatures affected me in a bad way. Wanted to throw up it was so hot.

This place is wonderful. The colors and different springs to take in are amazing. Apparently the best view of the Grand Prismatic Spring is to take a hike behind it to the top of a hill or by helicopter to get above the spring to capture the real beauty.

It is so amazing that something like this exists in nature. The colours are so vivid and looks like coloured glass. To get a great shot you will probably have to wait for the steam to blow away, then you've got a few seconds window before the steam builds up again but it is totally worth the wait. There are other geysers on the looped walk and though they don't have the rainbow of colours they are just as vivid and worth a look at as well.

My 2nd time at the spring. Old Faithful is great, but the Grand Prismatic should not be missed. The colors in the pools and the surrounding area are great and unlike anything else in the park.
