“Great hospitality, breakfast and room!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

We were greeted with a flourish by our host Tony. He kept us laughing the whole time we were around him. He's also a great cook - frittatas, pancakes with blueberry preserves, freshly baked blueberry muffins. Needless to say we did not leave the table hungry. The room was very clean and confortable. Nice plush towels and a unique shampoo, conditioner, shower soap dispenser built in to the shower. The Inn was centrally located- close to attractions in Seneca Falls, Watkins Glen, Ithaca, etc. I would stay here again!

Our stay at John Morris Manor Bed and Breakfast was very pleasant and relaxing. The hosts were very welcoming. We loved the cute and friendly dogs. The hearty three-course breakfasts were presented masterfully on fine table settings. The food was freshly prepared each morning. The coffee was phenomenal. In addition, the rooms and bath were spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Best of all, the other guests were friendly and fun to share meals and conversation with. I recommend this bed and breakfast without any hesitation.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a shared bathroom with one other room. Be sure to check the room descriptions if yo...

My husband and I stayed at John Morris for are 10 year wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful weekend. Tony made a delicious breakfast both mornings (we were stuffed!). The others guests were so friendly to chat with during breakfast. We felt like we were staying at a family or close friend's home. We stayed in the pool room. It is close to both the kitchen and Tony & John's livingroom space. We were never bothered by noise. Nor did we feel like we were intruding on their space. Tony gave us recommendations regarding restaurants in the area depending on what we were looking for (i.e. type of food, atmosphere, etc). The only complaint is that the pillows were a bit uncomfortable (Sorry Tony). However, my husband and I are often not fans of hotel/B&B pillows. We usually bring are own but just forgot this time.

Tony and John were wonderful hosts. Tony cooked a delicious breakfast each morning and accommodated each of his guests dietary needs. Breakfast also provided a wonderful opportunity to meet and chat with the other guests. My room (Yellow) was comfortable and provided a great place to rest after a day of sight-seeing. The other parts of the house provided a place to read, relax or mingle.

We had an amazing stay with Tony and John - every day started which a wonderful breakfast (unfortunately we had to leave early the last day and missed breakfast - dumb decision!), helpful direction to get around the area, and a big wonderful open house we were able to enjoy during the day! For us it was great we were able to bring our dog, who loved it! Thanks Tony and John!

For our first B&B experience we couldn't have found a better place. We did have a little anxiety not knowing what to expect but that was quickly dissolved after meeting Tony. He met us at the door, showed us around including our room, and explained all the important stuff. He was even concerned about any food dislikes or allergies. We stayed in the Rose room which was the perfect size for us with the huge bathroom across the hall. We shared it with others but it was never an issue with waiting. If it did there is a half bathroom downstairs. We both had two great nights of sleep in a cool and quiet room. No kidding, probably better than our own home! The breakfast is such a neat part of the experience. Tony prepared delicious and unique 3 course breakfasts that left you plenty full but not stuffed. The way it should be! It was oppressively hot and humid so the pool was very nice to cool off with. Tony is the kind of person that would help you out with anything that you would need or if some thing came up unexpectedly on your trip. Great experience and would and probably will go back in the future!

We wanted to take a short vacation during the week with our little dog, and JMM fit the bill. Long story short, everything was very nice and we enjoyed ourselves. The host was very friendly, as were the two dogs of the house. Lots of interesting conversation and plenty of great tips for area dining and attractions. The breakfast both mornings was bomb (as in really good.) It felt a lot like the home I grew up in, and I needed some of that.

Room Tip: Tall people staying in the yellow room be prepared to duck.
