I am rarely so disappointed in a hotel!
Noisy - Avoid all rooms that are above their compressor. Yes, a compressor starts about every 2 hours for 20 minutes all night long. The room was vibrating. I barely slept. The noisiest room in the are 221 and 219. The further away you are, the better.
Outdated - The furniture is outdated and needs to be renewed. The online pictures are somewhat deceiving.
Unclean - The vaccum cleaner was clearly not done in the room, the bathroom was not cleaned during our stay, and the drain in the bath tub was blocked so we bathed our feet in cold dirty water.
Price - Approximately $125 per weekend night for this experience is overpriced (high season)
Staff - As for trying to get this fixed, all room for fully booked so we could not changed room. The worst, after complaining to the receptionist (person in charge of the hotel on weekends), she told me to call the 1-800 and complain. Needless to say, that it was not exactly the attitude I was looking for after not having slept for two days.
1st Response from customer care (email quote): "On behalf of Microtel by Wyndham, please accept my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience we may have caused you. We appreciate and wish to retain our valued patrons." That was it!
I wrote back to them to request a compensation and a few days later customer care said it will send a voucher for a future stay.
