This hotel is on a corner in the middle of Seneca Falls, a nice little town, and the hotel appears recently remodeled; looks nice on the front -- but was still being re-painted on the exterior. Bar and food at the bar/restaurant were very good. There was a wine tasting in the lobby with hors d'oeuvres while we were there. We were given a back corner room on the third floor. The room decor was very modern; bare "hardwood" floors, tiled bathroom, sleek lines with no frills, grey/mauve/b&w color scheme. Stationary glass half/door on the walk-in shower was designed to take the place of a shower curtain, but the water went thru the bottom space and ran out onto the floor. We were annoyed that the room wasn't comfortable to sit, such as to watch the tv, except for lying in the bed. The only chair in the room was the little desk chair, and that or a windowsill were the only seats in the room; the bed was very high off the floor and not suitable for sitting on. The room was very clean, however. Our only other major complaint was that in the AM, as we were packing up to check out (an hour before checkout time,) my husband was using the bathroom when a man painting the building in a crane-lift outside his window came into view, and was working around the window! The windows were opaque on the lower half, but transparent on the top half, and of course, the worker could easily see in! My husband was extremely upset. Thankfully we weren't late risers and just getting showered! The hotel definitely knew where the painting work would be taking place in the AM, and should have been more diligent about not placing people in those rooms.
