“Fun and amazing trip”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

After visiting the Seneca Falls wineries one day, we decided to try the Cayuga wine trail the next day. We enjoyed the Americana winery. We arrived on a Sunday and there was a pleasant surprise. Every Sunday they have a musical group. We enjoyed walking on the beautiful property and listening to the group. The staff is very friendly there. We enjoyed their riesling and blueberry wine. Advice for the wine trails. Do your homework before you go. Download a map and read the reviews. You can't go to all the wineries, So know which ones have good sweet wines or dry, We also visited the Bellwether Cider. Different!! Not as many wineries ,but go visit some falls. We went to the Taughannock Falls nearby. Beautiful area. No fee to get in either. Go, enjoy.

“Use common sense when visiting a "Wine Trail".”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

The Finger Lakes Wine trail has everything, lakes, scenery, hospitality and great wines. It is best to make sure that your group has a teetotaler for the day. There are numerous wineries along the way that have tastings and tours. Generally they are free; some may charge for sampling but it is usually a nominal fee. Great time to go is in the fall when the leafs are changing! Go on line and get information on the Finger Lakes Wine trails and you can determine which ones you prefer. There are a lot of "Mom and Pop" operations along the routes you decide to take. Wine, as you know, varies significantly from bottle to bottle and so it does from winery to winery. This can easily be an all day trip but do not drink and drive. Choose your lake and let it shake.

Loved traveling along the lake and visiting the different wineries and tasting lots of good wine. The lake is so beautiful and each winery is unique.

“Fun and scenic ride”

Not as many wineries as Seneca Lake but much more hospitality and smaller crowds. We had fun. Went to the Deerhead Inn for dinner afterwards

“Cayuga Lake Wine Trail is great”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

This is my favorite wine trail. It is very close to the Waterloo outlets. We usually stop at Swedish Hill, Lucas Winery, Goose Watch and Knapp Winery. If you don't have a lot of time, you can easily go to 1 or 2 wineries and drive back up to the main road which is often the reason we select this trail vs the others.
