“Great Property but Housekeeping Needs Attention”

The idea of leaving towels you wish to reuse sounds good on paper but does not work when things are let after a room check out. Upon arrival I went to use a hand towel and it had fresh (not stains) lipstick marks - YUK! Then I was going to use some of the handlotion and it was only 1/4 full and had dried lotion on the top. I was now beyond wondering what else had been used...not good!

The room looked clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location was just across the street from the metro stop parking area and just a short half block walk to the orange line of the metro. There are plenty of shops and restaurants if you choose to eat in the burbs. There is even a nice cafe and convenience store in the hotel with affordable prices. Parking is free.

The hotel was very clean, the front desk folks were very friendy and efficient. The location is outside the downtown hustle and bustle of the big city, but easy access to any place you want to go, is just a block away from the hotel at the Dunn Loring Metro stop. Free parking, quick access to the Interstates and highways for those who choose to drive. Plenty of restaurants within driving distance. Swimming pool, small fitness center, Bistro on site with a limited menu, as well as some grocery items. Weekend rates are greatly reduced. All around enjoyable and uneventful stay. The Lost Dog Cafe is a great pizza and sandwich shop just a short walk from the hotel, Silver Diner a little farther.

Room Tip: I chose a room on a higher floor and it was very quiet.

Booked this hotel on PriceLine "name your price" about 2 weeks in advance and got it for $90.
Probably could have got it for less if I waited until the last minute, but I needed a guaranteed room. Really a nice place. Secured free parking in the underground garage is a real plus.
Nice staff, very clean and functional rooms. Fast internet that supported NetFlix (my standard test).
"Bistro" restaurant was very reasonably priced and the Rueben was actually very good.

Would recommend this Marriott Courtyard.

Room Tip: Top floor room was very quiet!

Decnet place to stay, nothing out of the ordinary. Not within walking distance of anything other than the Metro. Room was clean but heating unit was pretty loud, no way to watch TV without cranking the volume up so loud that your neighbors could hear it. Hallways had a pretty stale smell but not the rooms. fitness center pretty weak - 2 treadmills, stationary bike, and an elliptical.

Very adequate and comfortable place. Within one block of the metro, which was a significant advantage. Also this is near the end of the metro orange line so trains were not terribly crowded and we were there for the inauguration. Very limited on places to eat within walking distance. The only place we found was a Lost Dog Cafe which had a good menu and food was tasty and reasonable.

You regular readers of my reviews (I still crack me up) by now have figured out I am a Marriott guy. I travel quite a bit for business and can count on the Courtyards to always be very clean, well maintained, and well suited for me to stay productive. This one is no different.

Now that some road construction is finished nearby, this property is very convenient to anything in the area. If like me you try to take the subways when possible, the Metro station is right across the street. This would be a good place to stay for DC sightseeing - if you haven't been to DC before, you DO want to take the Metro in and out, not drive.

Very big lobby, extra computers in the business center, attentive staff. Enjoy!

As reviewed by other travelers, this hotel is located very close to the metro station, you can park here (free), and ride the subway to tour DC. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. The rate in Oct. was very reasonable, however, the rate seemed went time three times for Jan. Overall, very satisfied with our stay.
