This restaurant site has seen a lot of different Japanese restaurants over the years. This version is one of the best. I went with my companion on a Saturday night and was surprised at how empty it was. The service was great. The food is very good Japanese food. There is a good variety, the sushi is fresh and tasty. They have a number of specialty rolls as well as the standard sushi and sashimi. Its hidden in a strip mall but is an oasis that is welcoming.

I know Vienna has its unfair share of these places but this one is very good and very fresh. Every thing we ordered and we ordered a lot was very tasty. The staff is well trained and can offer up great suggestions. It is worth the stop

Vienna may just have the highest sushi-restaurant density per capita. There is perennial favorite Yama, which seems to be falling victim to their success (their sushi is still good, but service is absolutely terrible).

We discovered Yirasai somewhat recently - although it's been here for a while, apparently. It's nowhere near as busy as other sushi places (perhaps owing to the non-obvious parking arrangement in the back). But that's a good thing for those who bother to go in. You are almost guaranteed a pleasant, quiet experience and good, attentive service.

They offer a fairly comprehensive list of sushi rolls and combinations, as well as teriyaki plates. Sushi is good, fish seems fresh, rice is properly cooked, not too sticky and there is not too much of it so you can actually taste the fish. I tend to judge sushi restaurants by quality of their mackerel ("saba"), it's usually a good indicator and Yirasai was great.

Teriyaki plates are fine, but a bit dry for my taste. All in all, if you are looking for good sushi in Vienna, and want to be treated well and avoid a long wait, try this place - you won't regret it.
