This hotel, like many things in Cincinnati, is relatively old. It's actually a recognized historic site. That said, it has a historic charm, but not all the modern day amenities. For instance, they have real room keys vs. key cards. The rooms have flat panel televisions, but the clock doesn't have an iPhone dock which seems to be the norm these days. It does have a CD player though, which I found comical. There also aren't many outlets in the rooms.

That said, the service is excellent and the location is perfect. Also, they have a pretty good happy hour. There weren't many people there mid-day Saturday, but the prices were right for a burger, fries, and a couple of beers. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you want to go to sleep early, be sure to get an outside facing room vs. one that overlooks the atrium. The piano player in the lobby can be loud.

While staying here, we attended a concert at The Horseshoe Casino in Cincinnati. A shuttle picked us up right in front of the hotel and took us to and from the Casino, which was very convenient. The hotel itself was located very centrally in downtown Cincy. The Cincinnatian was well renovated, but it still had a historic feel.

We stayed this past weekend. Lovely old hotel. Amazing location. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Downside is that you either valet park or walk through an undesirable back alley to the garage. Also, the bathroom doors are slatted so privacy is limited. But otherwise a very nice hotel!

An old building with a great hotel in downtown Cincinnati. From the moment we left our car with the valet to the moment we left the hotel in the pouring rain the next day, the staff was excellent! Made us feel welcome and valued guests throughout the stay. The room had hardwood floors and a large area rug covering the majority of the room. Nice size room and adequately furnished to make our stay comfortable and quiet. Book the hotel through the new Horseshoe Casino website and receive a special rate. Normal rate was $187 and we paid $90.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor away from the elevators and the staff will do their best to accomodate your request.

My wife and I traveled to Cincinnati to see the new Horseshoe casino, catch a Reds game, and see the sites for the July 4th weekend. We travel extensively in the U.S. and to our surprise, our Cincy trip ranks as one of the very best, largely because of our experience at the Cincinnatian Hotel. We got a king balcony corner room and it was wonderful--spacious and tastefully decorated. The mattress was out of this world--super comfortable--we had a hard time getting up in the mornings. From the complimentary coffee in the morning (catch it before 8 AM) to the attentive doormen, there was not a weakness in any part of our Cincinnatian Hotel experience. The staff is very helpful in giving advice on what to do in Cincinnati and how to get there. We were called while we were out that there was a leak in our room and told we would have to change rooms. The bellman moved our things for us and we were given a $40 breakfast voucher for our "trouble." Highly, highly recommended!

Room Tip: A corner room on a high floor is worth every penny!
