Great location in downtown Cincinnati. Walking distance to museums and restaurants. Beautiful views of the Ohio river. Very well maintained hotel. Captivating architecture. Food served at conference was excellent.

The hotel is old and in need of major refurbishment. I felt the facilities were dated, bedrooms looked tired and bathrooms old. The service overall was good, staff were excellent and knowledgeable. Room service was a disaster, the breakfast was horrible and not worth a dime!

Have you ever booked a reservation at one of those old hotels which prides itself in being historic only when arriving you find out that "historic" meant old, dank, outdated and dirty? That is usually what comes to my mind when I see historic and hotel in a description.

I had my concerns before coming to the Hilton Netherland Plaza-but was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is old, but has been beautifully restored and maintained well. They provide all the modern comforts while keeping the historic flair in a tasteful way.

I stayed at the hotel and attended a conference here - it was a wonderful experience. The room was nicely done and always cleaned well by staff; the staff were friendly and courteous; the conference areas were unique and met our needs well; the location of the hotel is perfect with much within walking distance.

I would certainly recommend this hotel for any business traveler in looking at the downtown Cincinnati area.

From the moment I arrived, the gracious and thoughtful people made the experience truly outstanding. These older hotels, like the Parker House in Boston or the Palmer House in Chicago can have many, many different types of rooms and the size varies a lot. At checkin, I shared that I can get claustrophobic and the staff went to great lengths to be sure I was comfortable, including a manager showing me several rooms allowing me to choose. All this when they were sold out due to an event I was part of!
Staff consistently offered helpful and pleasant responses to any question or request... They really know the meaning of hospitality!
The Art Deco decor has been well maintained... Look for great design details the the large public spaces and ballroom. All together, an unexpected pleasant experience.

Room tip: Be specific about what you need/want and work with a staff member who knows the different rooms. There are more than 20 floor plans.

I stayed here during a conference with co-workers. It has such a rich history. I thought the staff did an excellent job of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. I would recommend anyone stay here. Make sure you have enough time to take a tour of the hotel itself.
