“Nice Place, But Not Much to See”
Review of Krohn Conservatory

We hesitate to give the Krohn Conservatory a bad review because, let's face it, if nobody goes they'll be out of business - and that would be a shame. But, as conservatories go, this is a small one. Just three greenhouses and one of them was closed (to change out the exhibit) when we were there. What they had was nice, but within a half hour we saw it all. They only charge $3 to get in, so you pretty much get what you pay for.

I visited Cincinnati for the first time last year. Krohn Conservatory is OK. There are few things to see. The Bonsai was fascinating. The butterfly watch was good. Just that. If you are in the vicinity and have nothing else to do, it is worth a visit.

We go to the conservatory several times a year. We love to go to see the Christmas decorations and the Butterflies in the spring. Very relaxing to wander through the flowers and watch the waterfall. Picnicing nearby is always a favorite.

If you are an adult that enjoys plant life of 2 greenhouses then ok you may like this place. If you are a parent looking to entertain children, dont go here. There is not a lot to explore it is small. Butterfly show was dissapointing, it was crowded in one small room of butterflies and lasted all of 20 mins of entertainment. Plus it was a 6 dollar fee to get in. For todays gas prices save your money and go elsewhere if you can.

The gardens surrounding the conservatory are outstanding. They're so well kept and colorful. There are plants to attract butterflies, hummingbirds and insects. When we were tired of walking we sat on benches in the shade and just admired the beauty. My husband chose to go in the conservatory and thoroughly enjoyed it. A must see in Cincinnati.
