We went to see the holiday display as well as the train display that runs through the holiday gardens. It was beautiful and a very well done display. It included almost all varieties of Christmas plants as well as a small waterfall. The trains run through the entire display.

There is a special orchid room that one can also visit. The employee that was working shared a lot of knowledge about the over 27,000 species or orchids! The orchid that produces the vanilla beans was most interesting. They also had carnivorous plants in the orchid room.

The Christmas tree at the entrance was decorated with hand-made nature ornaments. Each one was very unique. We wished that they had sold them to the public.

Their Bonsai collection was great!

The gift shop has many quality items for purchase.

There was also a section where one could make special items with their children. It would be great family time.

We visited the Krohn Conservatory December 1st. There are three or four tropical gardens which were a pleasure to tour. The entire place is not very big and it does not take too long to view it all but well worth the visit. There is also a small gift shop stuffed with a lot of cute items for sale. Admission price was 6 dollars for adults and 5 dollars for seniors 55 and older. During our visit they had a special exhibit "Trains Tressles and Traditions". There were "G" scale trains operating in one of the display areas. Santa was also present getting his picture taken with the visitors. Krohn Conservatory is located in Eden Park, a beautiful place to walk around and to see the city and river from atop of the mountain. I highly recommend the Krohn Conservatory and Eden Park.

This is where Cincinnati comes - or at least used to come- when we had long cold winters. Come inside in the winter and see the flowers on display always a great reminder that the winter can't last forever, that there will be warm sunny days. Besides every parent comes here to take their picture with their kid in front of or on the bridge over the pond.

I liked viewing the butterfly display. It's a nice little conservatory that's fun for both adults and children. I enjoyed talking to members of the bonsai group, who happened to be there with a display.

Visited on Black Friday to see the exhibit "Trains Tressles and Traditions". It has been years since visiting the Krohn Conservatory (I live out of town now). I was not disappointed. We enjoyed the various rooms with plants/flowers. It doesnt take very long to walk thru and its just a pleasurable thing to do. Afterwards we crossed the street and walked up the steps to the top of the hill and walked on the sidewalks to (I think) an old water tower. Recommend taking the time to add a short walk up there if you can. We had an appointment to get to so We didn't have time to walk across the bridge to the other side where we could have seen beautiful river views. Maybe next time!
