“Tucker's - gotta getta some Goetta!”
Reviewed October 4, 2012 via mobile

While in Cincinnati we were told to try a local favorite Goetta. So, curiosity led us to the best rated Goetta at Tucker's Restaurant on Vine.
Impressions being the first thing, the neighborhood was a bit down trodden.
The restaurant itself looked like a hole in the wall, but the food, service, and friendliness were outstanding.
Mama now at age 92, should be very proud of Joe and Mary for keeping Tucker's a local neighborhood restaurant.
They know the local patrons and get to know visitors like ourselves.
Goetta, and breakfast was great and filling. I will be going back, for the food and fellowship.

“Very Good Food, not fancy - Breakfast place”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

Most everything is fresh made. This is not a fancy place, just good food. Not a lot of on street parking, but they own the lot directly accross the street.

“The name says a lot.”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

The reviews for this restaurant were so good, we had to give it a try. Located downtown, in what may be described as "the hood". Parking is across the street and free. Wish we would have known that before we drove around in circles several times trying to locate a meter on Saturday morning. (One way streets dominate Cincinnati's traffic flow). We arrived at Truckers at about 10:30 a.m. and there was one other group ahead of us waiting for a table. There are about 6 booths to accommodate multiple dining partners and several stools at the counter. It took about an hour to get seated. This was probably due to diners lingering way after they ate their meal to chat it up. I think this is insensitive to the people waiting and "eating" in to the owners profits. We waited because the food looked so good and the prices were too. After we were seated, we looked forward to a great breakfast. That didn't exactlyhappen. Don't know for sure what happened.......the owner and cook getting into a verbal fight? The second line cook leaving? The crowd that had gathered?? We didn't get our meals until 1:30 p.m! My shrimp and grits were very tasteful, but the grits were lumpy and not warm enough. They forgot my fried egg which came later. My daughter's veggie omelet was good and the vegan sausage was of the better kind. Her coleslaw was run of the mill. The pancakes were very good! Crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. How did they do that? We ended up spending 4 hours trying to have breakfast!! Yes, it was ridiculous we stayed. What's more ridiculous we may even give it another try, getting there earlier in the day.

“Diner + quality food for breakfast”
Reviewed November 8, 2011

Our breakfasts were delicious. A comfortable diner atmosphere, much better and more interesting than diner food!
