Laszlo's is actually in Newtown, on the east side of the Little Miami River, about 20 minutes from downtown Cincy. It may be off the beaten path but it's definitely worth the trip. This is our go-to restaurant for out-of-town visitors because the food is great and there's something for everyone. If you're like me and can't make up your mind, get the combo platter - choice of 1 of 3 schnitzels, a cabbage roll, and goulash with spaetzle (the cabbage roll won "Best of Taste" one year in Cincy's Taste of Cincinnati). On this visit I chose the ala Holstein schnitzel. It's a lot of food, sure, but I can never decide on just one item. Their sauerkraut balls and fried pickles are great appetizers. They also do wonderful potato salad, hot slaw, and cucumber salads. Waitstaff are always attentive and pleasant.

Wonderful combination of foods. I had an Italian schnitzel with freshly grated parmesan on top. My husband thought it had too much parmesan. He had a stuffed cabbage roll and wished he had ordered an additional one.

This is my go-to spot for an out-of-the way place with predictably great food. The help is always great and the food tastes great. They do great eastern european cuisine AND great continental fare. If you don't like schnitzel, you'll still fine...there's plenty to choose from, with impressive specials. The best part??? The prices are very reasonable...yum.

Our family from Illinois were visiting and requested Hungarian food so we tried out Lazlo's Iron Skillet. The decor was pretty (German/Hungarian) and cozy. Everyone liked their food and there was plenty of it. I ordered the Szeklar Goulash (Szekely Gulyas) with the sauerkraut on the side and it was wonderful! My husband's Sauerbraten and potato pancake was also very delicious. I highly recommend it!
