Description: Located in downtown Cincinnati across from the Aronoff Center, Nicholson’s is a restaurant and bar serving fine food and drink in a genuine Scottish tavern setting. Taking inspiration from the public houses found throughout Great Britain, our goal is to provide our guests with authentic hospitality and a brilliant dining experience. In addition to high-quality food, we offer a wide variety of beer, wine, bourbon, craft cocktails and feature one of the best selections of single malt scotch whiskies in the area.

Nicholson's is a great place to meet friends before a concert, play or any type of entertainment venue. Great food at a fair price, nothing like it in the City.

“If it's not Scottish, it's Crap - except for that special ale...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2009

Spent most of our eating and 'consuming' time at this location. Near the attractions but not a tourist attraction. The weekend-long fun was started with a nice salad for my wife and a tasty breaded fish sandwich for me. But we really enjoyed their selection of imports and the (more) local Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. YUM! And reasonably priced, unlike the tourist trap places closer to the heart of downtown. This place is only a block away, folks. Large selection of single malt Scotch, as others have mentioned. A bit pricy for that taste, though, in our opinion. Friendly and helpful staff, men in kilts, and comfortable options for seating. We thought maybe a few of the waitresses could use (a bit) longer skirt... Wish we would've heard some live Scottish music (or at least taped) during our visits. We saw varied dress and ages of people at different times. Everyone should feel welcome in a pub and this place does just that.
