The dishes offered are really tasty, but the choices are limited, so I only go when I know that I want to eat what's there. The sandwiches and chowder and tacos are all fabulous. I would like to see some new items though.

On Saturday night after Luminocity concert, a group of us try to stop by to get some drinks at outside table, the host with pony tail was extreme rude, totally unacceptable, we end up at zula's.

The Anchor has amazing food, great atmosphere, and a lovely patio overlooking Washington Park. We live nearby and have dined there many times for lunch and dinner, and it is always outstanding. Love it!

We had never been to Cincinnati before and asked the hosts at our B & B for nearby restaurant suggestions. After walking around the neighborhood, we were impressed primarily by the outdoor patio at The Anchor. We had a good bottle of Rioja, appetizers of a dozen raw oysters (very fresh) and 4 fried oysters (extremely light crispy batter) served nicely on a tartar-type sauce on oyster shells (highly recommended); for our main course, we had a whole grilled fish (can't remember the name I never heard of before) and bass filets----both had interesting and tasty sides. Service was informal and unobtrusive but very attentive. It was great to sit on the patio and watch kids playing in the park and people just walking around this fascinating neighborhood (seems in a state of flux).
