“True ice cream parlor - a must visit.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013

We thought we'd try the competitor to Graeter's one night to see how it was. About 5 minutes in, it was very clear to us. This place is better than Graeter's.

Their menu of ice cream options is phenomenal - custom sundaes, and shakes.

They have a whole array of chocolates and candy behind the ice cream bar.

The best part - THE ATMOSPHERE. I've only been to 1 or 2 other places in the world that had that old time ice cream parlor feel to it. It was truly memorable.

If you are looking for a great experience in ice cream and sweets, Aglamesis Bros. is a must!

“Such a fun quaint, vintage way to enjoy ice cream”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

True to it's looks from yester-year, this great little ice cream/candy shop has it all. The ice-cream is delicious, on the caliber of another great Cincinnati ice-cream shop who loads their ice cream full of chocolate candy bar size chunks in their many flavors!! Sit in side at the bar or at table and watch the serves bring water and ice cream to everyone! I love that the place and all the serve ware are all from the past and the service was quick and polite!

“So cool and so worth a visit”

What a neat spot! Definitely a must visit with little ones. They won't experience ice cream like this anymore. Order something special off the menu, you won't be disappointed.

“Step back in time at Aglamesis”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

The first ice cream parlor we've been to with sit-down service from a waiter.

The ice cream was very, very good... obviously homemade with quality ingredients. My wife had a cup of raspberry choc chip, which she loved. My daughter had a waffle cone with mocha chip, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had a "two step" sundae, with two scoops of banana ice cream (very, very tasty!), pineapple sauce (wow!), whipped cream, and toasted coconut. It was delightful!

Total bill was $12.5 plus tip.

“Wonderful Ice Cream”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Our family has been going to Aglamesis for 30 years for birthdays, graduations, you name it. The ice cream is consistently great, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The ice cream parlor appears much as it would have in the 1900's. There is a marble counter with Tiffany lights and tall stools you can sit at and watch them make your order. While the place is primarily an ice cream parlor, one can also order sandwiches before getting to the ice cream. But the ice cream is the draw of this place. There is also a location in the Montgomery part of Cincinnati, but we would suggest the original in the Oakley area because of the atmosphere. Free parking nearby. Does not take reservations.
