Owner description: We are home to a visual history of American Signage from 1870 through 1970. Hand carved wooden signs, gold leaf, electric light bulbs, and neon all grace our walls and tell amazing stories, especially when told by our founder and avid collector Tod. Take a trip down memory lane and visit us in the Camp Washington neighborhood of Cincinnati!

“Lots of memories”

Fun concept, entertaining arrangement of signs. Not a standard museum. Lots of variety. Classic Burma-shave plus plenty of others, lighted, wooden, paper....

“Unique and fun experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

I first read about this museum on trip advisor while researching my trip to Cincinnati. We showed up right before a tour began and went around with about 15 other people. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the tour and the museum. I really recommend the tour, without it I think we only would have stayed about half an hour and would have missed out on a lot of really cool and interesting signs/facts.

The tour begins with showing a history of American signs that begins around the 1900s (honestly, I think there could be a college elective about American history as told through signs). It ends in a part of the museum where all the signs have been installed in their native landscapes.

I am so excited to have found this place.

“Unknown Gem in Cincinnati.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

American sign museum is a real gem. Be sure to take the tour, as this is by far the best way to enjoy this museum. The tour is given by the owner and founder of the museum. He has spent his life in the "sign" industry and his tour is informative, interesting, and provides a view of American culture through it's signs. I would recommend highly, truly deserving of 5 stars.

It was nice and bright and beautiful neon. They take aaa discount so don't forget your card. Gift shop could have been a little larger but we enjoyed it.
