Walked from a rivercenter hotel to Fountain Square and back. Great views the Cincinnati skyline,of the river, and passing boats. It is a relatively quick walk over the bridge- maybe 10 mins at most. The walk from the Covington Hotels to Fountain square is maybe 20 mins. If you've ever walked the Brooklyn Bridge, it is a smaller version, but just as beautiful. The walk is much shorter than the Brooklyn Bridge though.

Took the kids to Cincinnati to stop halfway between our home and the smokies. Wanted
to go somewhere that we could do something that didn't take very long, due to the fact that we were only staying for one night, but still show the kids something about the place we were staying. Walking the suspension bridge sounded like just the thing. Our kids, 6 and 4, loved it. It only took about 15 minutes each way, and you get a great view of the Cincinnati skyline while walking between Kentucky and Ohio. Pretty cool. The only thing was we were planning to do a sunset walk, however, the weather was not cooperative to see a sunset, but we were walking at dusk. There is evidence that homeless people sleep here at night, so we were glad to be getting off the bridge before it was completely dark. Other than that, it was a cool thing to do. Would definitely recommend it.

When I was a teenager in the 60's I used to walk across the Suspension Bridge to buy firecrackers in Covington. It was nice walking across the bridge and watching the barges passing below. Even as a kid I was able to appreciate the experience.
