I'm new to Cincinnati and was downtown for a concert. As we walked from the parking garage to the auditorium I was so surprised to see the fountain square restaurants, outdoor seating and live music with a friendly happy atmosphere. It was an ordinary Friday night, but the vibe was festive and fun.

Free music in the square by nice fountain. Plenty of food options around square, shopping just across the street.

Was in Cincinnati for a Reds game, and parked at a garage by the Hilton I believe. Made our way over to Fountain Square before (and after) the game and was pleasantly surprised. Before the game the restaurants were hustling, but the seating area of the square itself seemed pretty laid back. Ate dinner, then made the 10 minute walk to the park.

After the game decided to stop back in the area for a beer. The place came to life with a band playing and people everywhere. Best part about it, safety wasn't an issue at all. Cops around and it just seems like a fun place to be.

I think that there are parts that also offer WiFi. I'm not sure about this, but I saw 3 tables of people sitting in one area all with computers. I could be wrong.

This really is a jem of a place in the heart of downtown. Whoever thought this up was genius.

While in Cincinnati with my brother for some ball games last month, we wound up spending a considerable amount of time at Fountain Square. What a gem of an area in downtown!! Friday night there was an excellent rock band, believe their name was BackBeat. They played Tom Petty so well it was almost spooky! Lot of vendors in the square added to the fun. Can't remember if it was Saturday or Sunday, but the World Cornhole Tournament was going on!! Once again, lot of vendors, some with freebies, just a great way to pass some down time. Cincinnati is very fortunate to have such a nice area downtown. What a fun city!!

If you are in town for a game or shopping downtown visit the fountain it is worth the visit. You could also go to the top of the Carew tower when you are Downtown.
