Description: The heritage of Cincinnati's storied brewing history comes alive along the banks of the Ohio River at this world-class restaurant and brewery. Prominently situated in the dynamic Smale Riverfront Park, the Moerlein Lager House offers a guest experience unlike any other—a working microbrewery producing a full line of Moerlein craft brews, and delectable fare featuring grain spent breads, hand-carved sandwiches, and smoked rotisserie meats… foods reminiscent of those served in the city’s celebrated 19th century beer gardens.

“a stunning new landmark”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

this stunning new restaurant lies between downtown Cincinnati's two sports venues in a park right along the river. The food is good, the beer fine, and the architecture astonishing. It has a wonderful outdoor bar/stage venue for when the weather is better. Open for lunch and dinner it jumps when there is a ball game... coming during a quieter time is an eye opener.

“Go for the View and Drink”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

Highlights are a great location downtown next to the stadium and ballpark, not far from theaters, and offers a view of the Ohio River through huge windows surrounding th dining area.. In our group of six no one raved about the food but the ales and beers were excellent. Service was fast on a busy day. Moerlein Lager House has the prime location, simple menu, and quick service that allows visitors to work it in before or after a downtown event.

“filet as good as the big boys”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

who would have thunk it? $25 for a steak as good as Mortons, Ruth Chris, the always good Ruby's. Well thunk it. Got this tip form my sister who traveled a lot going to steak houses over the years. The filet is tender. No need for the huge steak knife they provide. Weel seasoned, but not over seasoned, as I like to taste steak when I order it. It comes with a side a smashed potatoes. Can't beat the food or the price. I highly recommend it.

“Great anchor to The Banks”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Moerlein has the distinction of being the anchor (at least in my opinion) to The Banks. It's got a great view of the river and the stadium; it's got a large open area for special events and concerts. It's got a TON of local beers to choose from and a great menu. I have only had appetizers here, but the flatbread pizzas are great as was the corn chowder on the afternoon we visited.
