“Very nice hotel”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

The hotel is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from the ballpark.
The hotel lobby is beautiful. The rooms are very large and clean. Many services are included, breakfast and wifi. The place where they serve the breakfast is also very good. The service is excellent. The exercise rooms are modern. There is no pool but a lovely rear garden.
If you stay for one night, avoid the valet parking at $ 24 because there are parking meters all along the street to $ 2 per hour. Pay up to 5:00 pm and you're good until the 9ham the next morning.

We stayed here a night while attending the Bunbury Music Festival. Having stayed at the Comfort Suites in Newport the past two years, we decided to stay here based on the excellent reviews despite the extra cost. It also helped that it was only a 5-minute walk to the festival, much more convenient! I also joined the rewards program. My first introduction to the customer service came when I discovered less than a week in advance that I had booked for the wrong night! After a quick phone call, the reservation was quickly and easily moved to a week earlier despite the fact that travel websites were showing that the hotel was completely full that night. The new booking was more expensive, but I didn't complain given the short booking and knowing that the hotel was full. Upon arriving, we discovered that they had given us a room on the 9th floor with a view of the park and Reds stadium, which was an extra nice touch that we hadn't expected. Thanks to that view, we had a perfect vantage point for a 15-minute fireworks display after the reds game. Our room was a spacious studio suite with more than enough room for two people staying overnight for a concert. The only odd feature was that the toilet in the restroom was situated in such a way that you would get hit in the legs if someone opened the door! We found the bed to be very comfortable.

We did check out the rooftop bar, which had nice views, but it was very crowded for the small space without enough seating to accommodate so we got one drink and returned to our room which also had a nice view without the crowds.

Breakfast was very nice for a Residence Inn breakfast. Do not expect an embassy suites omelette station or something like that. But as mentioned, for what it was it was good. With the hotel being full we passed on the waffle maker due to the backlog. Staff kept up well replacing hot food items and clearing tables despite crowds. We checked out the back patio area after breakfast, which was nice, comfortable and peaceful.

Overall, the stay was very positive, and we plan to stay here again in October for another overnight. For those who want something that fits many of the needs of this hotel, but on a lower budget the Comfort Suites across the river is another good option. It really comes down to whether you are at a point where the extra $150 splurge (for extra service, nicer room, and closer location) is worth it to you. For us, at this point it is.

Room Tip: Room 911 had amazing views.

A friend and I stayed at this hotel for a concert at the Great American Ballpark. We walked to the concert from the hotel. It was super close - maybe 5 or so minutes. Very convenient! The hotel itself is gorgeous - looks like it is brand new. Our room was really nice - it was equipped with a kitchen and a little living area in addition to the bedroom area. You don't even really feel like you are in a downtown area as the hotel is on a quiet little street across from a park. All the staff members we encoutered were super friendly and helpful, especially the head valet (sorry I can't remember his name!) - he was doing valet, helping with bags, clearing our dishes at breakfast the next morning - he was doing it all! And on top of it, he was a really nice guy. They also supply a free breakfast each morning. The hotel only offers valet parking which is $24 a night (there is no self parking). It looked like there might be some street parking, but I dont know if you would want to run the risk of parking there. The hotel does not have a pool, which was not a problem for me. If I were ever in town again, I would definitely stay at this Residence Inn!

Room Tip: We were on the 10th floor and had a nice view of the city.

Have to agree with all before. Rooms are spacious, suites with kitchen areas one or two bedroom. Very clean, nothing extravagant. Decor is middle of the road. Breakfast is part of package with many choices, not just continental. Waffles, eggs, meats and fruit. Hot and cold choices. Great rooftop bar with great views of the city and Ohio river. Looking forward to fireworks tonight and Reds game. Ball park is four blocks away and rooftop should be fantastic spot to see fireworks. People are very friendly. Valet parking with room is $24, but doorman said it was easy to find spots on the street and he was right. Staff are friendly and helpful. First floor bar and restaurant offer many choices and al freso dining in a courtyard or in a gated area out front. Can't find a criticism!!!!

I stayed twice at Residence Inn Cincinnati downtown and will always return there when I visit Cincinnati. The rooms are so spacious, sometimes even a small apartment, with separate area for daytime, for sleep time, fully equipped kitchens and spacious bathrooms. Breakfast is offering a good selection of American and international foods, so there will be something for everyone. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I'm giving it a 4 star because: there is no swimming pool and for short stays the lack of bathing robe, sleepers, shower gel and shampoo is not a nice surprise (first time I got angry because these are basics in Europe, so I did not bring any. I had to buy all of them and then fly them back to Europe. However, the second time I knew how things are and brought my stuff). So bring whatever you know you'll need or be prepared for a shopping trip to Walgreen's/Kroger/CVS and I'll be fine.

Absolutely loved my trip to Cincy we stayed at the Residence Inn for the Beyonce and Jay Z concert and had a great time. From the moment we pulled up we were greeted by valet, doors were opened and luggage was taken out of the car. Even for a 1 night stay we felt like we were treated like permanent guest! Everyone was really nice the room was very clean and the queen bed was extra comfy. My only gripe was the elevator. For a 11 floor hotel they only had 2 elevators that could fit max 4-5 regular size adults, and dont try to take a luggage cart on their, only you, the luggage cart and one other person can fit. If the elevator was too full we found ourselves waiting more than 5 minutes to go downstairs and sure we could have walked but why when we are paying over $250 a night for luxury not exercise equipment. Other than that very nice hotel loved that they are located right next to the stadium so we walked right over to the show would for sure stay again!

We stayed here for a show at Great American Ballpark this past weekend, and we couldn't have picked a better place. We had a mishap when first checking in: We were directed to a room that was already occupied. Upon returning to the front desk, we didn't have to say a word. The staff immediately did everything they could to make it right, and we were very grateful. The rest of our stay was fantastic. The suite was clean and beautiful with a lovely view of the river, the staff was accomodating and attentive, the complimentary breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations, and the walk to the stadium was only 10 minutes. You can't beat the location and level of service. We'll definitely stay here again during our next visit to Cincinnati.
