We stayed here for a funeral, so it was booked on short notice and most everything else in the area was full. While it worked for this, it was gross. We made the mistake of booking this without looking at any reviews before, once we realized that this was going to be bad we tried cancelling the reservation shortly after we had made it, but not to our surprise there are no refunds, not even after we explained why we wanted to cancel. They made no effort to do anything about any of our concerns.

We had a late arrival, and confirmed with the hotel in advance that they would hold a non smoking room for us. When we arrived the only room available was smoking. The smell wasn't as bad as it could have been, but the room was still gross.

The door to the room wouldn't open normall, so you had to push on it with your shoulder to get it open. The carpets are dirty, worn, and torn in spots; they may have even been damp. I wouldn't walk bare foot or even in socks here. The sink was old and had rust stains, the wall paper was peeling and torn, the toilet paper holder was ripped out of the all, the pillow cases were torn...and the list goes on.

Filthy, disgusting, seedy! I have to believe that staying in Section 8 housing would be nicer.

We flew into OH from New Jersey for a wedding. We booked this room as part of a pkg. with lastminutedeals. However, we must note that we selected this particular Days Inn at the recommendation of the wedding party, so all blame cannot be pointed at the website. We learned later that the bride/groom recommended this location sight unseen, due to its proximity to the wedding location.

We arrived at the Inn around 7ish, Fri evening, with only a very small window to change, freshen up & head back out to the rehearsal dinner in downtown Cincinnati for 8pm. The check in area was o.k., but the practically non-english speaking european desk clerk was a slight tip off that this place was not on the up and up. (The Inn being attached to a local dive-looking bar also brought us pause). After some struggle, she finally located our reservation & directed us to the "outside" hallway to get to the elevator. The elevator was something out of 70s horror movie- no door sensor, wood paneling of sorts, no fan, and moved seemingly dangerously slow. If it was located in one of those corproate skyscrapers downtown, they'd shut the building down in a heartbeat. After one trip, it was the seedy stairwell the rest of the time.

Onto the room- as soon as we opened the door to our "non-smoking" room, the smell was like a wall. Staleness, body odor, urine & smoke. Everything looked filthy- the carpet, the comforter, the fabric furniture, the walls. There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub. No toiletry amenities, very low grade, dingy-looking towels. As we approached the bed, the stench around the one side of the headboard was unbearable- it smelled as though a sweaty homeless person had rested against it for weeks. That side of the bed also smelled of urine. Of course, the numerous stains on the comforter cannot go unmentioned, and the thought of what they might be brought shudders to our spine.

We immediately returned to the front desk, and demanded another room. The desk clerk (to our dismay) said we were in one of the nicest rooms they had, but gave us a key to another room to look at. Upon entering that room, the stench of smoke was worse, and, again to our dismay, the room had no window, just a glass pane (what a fire hazard!). I returned to the desk clerk inquiring how could they legally rent a room with no second exit; however, I knew I wasn't getting an intelligent response on that one. She gave us another room key- same stench, overhead lights didn't work, filty room & bathroom, and questionable doorlock. No, it seemed that she hadn't been kidding- we DID have the nicest room they had. One last thing- while walking past some of the other occupied rooms, the "guests" looked as if they lived there (stuff piled high inthe rooms), and several were outside their doors in chairs with 30packs...their own Happy Hour we guessed.

We were out of time to keep room hunting, so we changed, skipped the use of the bathroom, and headed out, but not before we had to wait for someone to come up and reprogram the safe in the room (the one amenity). As it was late upon our return, we opted to stop at the local grocery, and purchased Lysol and various bathroom cleaners. We sprayed and sprayed, anything and everything. We stripped the comforter, (thank god the sheets seemed at least somewhat clean), and squeezed over and slept on the cleaner-smelling side of the bed. Oh yeah, and slippers only on the carpet.

The next day, we went to the two nearby lodgings to try to relocate(can't remember their names at this point), but they were full (understandable- probably with guests running from this dump). As the wedding was later that day & we had traveled sans laptop, we didn't have the time or resources to search for another place to stay. We toughed it out for the remaining two nights, trying to stay out as much as possible, and continuously spraying our disinfectants.

Horrid is an understatement. I've stayed at several Days Inn in the past, but clearly something has changed in their ownership/management. We still might direct our complaints to their corporate offices, but by the looks of the other reviews, I'd say they don't much care to improve on this location. I will likely never book with them again, and obviously, my only receommendation for this location is DEMOLITION.

This Days Inn is one of the worst we have ever stayed at. The room was filthy and smelly, the beds bouncy and the nearby freeway kept us up all night.
The management of this hotel is some of the worst we have ever dealt with. Upon arrival, we were told that our confirmed reservation had been deleted from the system and that no room could be given to us. This franchise operates as a rogue property with no regards to corporate policies, so stay here at your own risk!!!

I was in town to do a show and arrived very late after driving 12 hours. The worker at the front desk seemed bothered to have to help me. She was busy talking on the phone. We checked in and yes the rooms open to the streets and parking lot. there were seedy folks hanging outside and at the bar.
we got to the room and were shoched by the conditions. Very dirty, falling down wall paper, mold growing all over. The beds were shabby,,,,like covered boxes. If it had not been so late...I would have run away. This place should be closed down. I don't think they could pass a heath code. Three out of four lights were broke and the T.V. was out. We ttried to call the front desk....no one answered. I should have gotten every penny back but did not know how to ask. After I checked out...someone else did as well and demanded their money back. I will always read reviews first before booking. Yikes...........
