“Concert venue of the year”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2014

This place was awesome for the concert. Only thing needs to be worked on and tweeked a little is the roads in and out and parking. Some small fixes and this place would be the best in the nation for a concert. The Music Center itself is great. Food and beverage is the same as other outdoor activities. Would be great if these places could economize some how so people in attendance would spend more and want to spend more. They need another road in and a little better way to get people parked. Otherwise a great and fabulous facility for concerts. Probably would be equally as impressive for other live entertainment as well. I will definitely return for another concert in the future.

“strange”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2014

I was there a couple of weeks to see Kiss & Def Leppard with some friends, and my first impression was how odd the stage buildig was built and my friends had the same thoughts, we had lawn places and if they didnt have screens, we wouldnt have seen a thing and all the money would have been a waste..the roof is leaning forward towards the lawn instead of upwards to the sky and instead of smaller poles to hold up the roof, they had massive iron poles that took up alot of the view aswell, on top of that...they had set the screens between the poles covering the view too! no, do something about the construction, we all said it was the first and last time comming here

“PNC Pavilion: Two concerts and all is well”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

We've been to Riverbend plenty of times in the past but hadn't been to our first concerts at PNC Pavilion until this year, when we've seen two, the last being John Fogerty in late July. We arrived about 30 minutes before the concert and parked easily (no charge) about a 5-6 minute walk away. The pavilion was easy to get to, and the venue provided good seats (none obstructed) for all with good sound and lighting. It's a plus that, although outdoors, the entire venue is covered, and the sides are even screened, providing relief from the setting July sun. Restrooms were clean and quick in-and-out before the show (can't say about during the show; we're not intense drinkers) and concessions were OK. For each concert it took less than 10 minutes to get out of the lot, which is a positive in my book compared to concerts and sporting events I've been to, and you're just a couple minutes from I-275.

“Nice but needs upgrades ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

It was a nice amphitheater. Keith Urban put on an amazing show! If you plan on sitting in the grass just know that there are 4-5 support beams that block views of the stage. If you get behind one of them, you won't see much. The screens on the sides of the stage are small and need to be upgraded. The seats in the amphitheater are a nice size with good foot space distance. There is a long walk to the bathrooms once you are in your seat tho.

“Nice Outdoor Ampitheater on the Water”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

We have been to multiple concerts at Riverbend as well as PNC. Sitting in the pavilion at Riverbend definitely has its advantages-a much better view of the stage and the sound is better. However, depending who you are there to see the party is more so in the lawn area. The pavilion is not without some challenges, so make sure you take a look at the view for your tickets as some seats will have limited or obstructed views of the stage.

PNC pavilion is a smaller version without the lawn. This is a great venue for seeing artists as it is much more intimate. We have seen several artists here and really enjoy being so close.

The overall facility is adding in more and more offerings such as beer or wine tastings with certain concerts, craft beers, small stages with free local artists to entertain before the show starts, added picnic tables (near the PNC side), Bud Light Pop Up bar at certain shows, and a newer fake turf lawn.

It would be nice to add in lounges (like Klipsch in Indy), for those who are not VIP ticket holders to have a place to sit and relax with private bathrooms and bar areas.

Parking can be tricky and getting out can sometimes take a while so be prepared to wait. The main lot seems to move quick if you park close to the main gate near the exit - 15 minute wait at most to get out. But, in this lot there is no tailgaiting. Tailgaiting lots are across the street or on street parking.

Overall an average and nice outdoor ampitheater on the water. We will continue to come here for concerts.
