Beautiful, well maintained cemetary with a lot of history. Many famous people are buried there. It's a great place to go for a walk or even take a Segway tour.

I love walking/running at Spring Grove. I really get a workout from all the hills!! The signs for the 1, 2, 3 mile markers are very easy to follow.

This is a very wonderful place to explore. It has a lot of hills so be prepared for that. Grounds are very well maintained. The amazing large trees are worth the trip by themselves. Many gorgeous monuments and structures. The map on the website was very helpful, I recommend printing off a copy to have with you.

Someone at a Museum suggested to go to this Cemetery and take a drive around and I'm so glad we did. It's just steeped in history and it's such a peaceful, lovely, well maintained place.
It was so interesting to see how people used to honor their deceased loved ones....some of the mausoleums were incredible...We got some lovely pictures....and who would have thought we'd want pictures from a cemetery....I'd go back again..it's a beautiful place.

This is a VERY peaceful place to walk. There are paths to follow depending on how hard and long of a walk you want. Dogs are NOT allowed except ONE day a year, so leave the pooch at home. There are also walking tours, and one of them is the "Beer Barons" of Cincinnati

First time visiting Spring Grove Cemetery. Be sure to pick up a map and list of notable people buried there inside the front door of the office building.

My husband enjoys history so he was interested in all of the military graves and General Hooker’s grave. When you drive by the large ornate tombstones and mausoleums and read all of the names you will instantly recognize them as famous Cincinnati families.

Spend an hour or the entire day.

I have now been on four tours, each one with a different title - Angels, Bronze, Cincinnati Women, and Presidential Connections. Three were tram tours (small charge), one a walking tour (free). They were all so interesting and I learned a lot about Cincinnati historical figures, the monuments themselves, and Cincinnati's history as well. A warning - after my sister and I took a summer walking tour we decided we would only do future walking tours in the spring and fall. We really hiked. The other warning - you have to register for the tours (24 max on tram tours) a month ahead of time. Register as soon as registration opens, or you might miss out. We wanted to see the Civil War Connections tour, but it sold out within 24 hours and we missed out this year...maybe next year. It is fun and educational.

Just decided since we were close we would visit and WOW were we pleasantly surprised. One of the best places considering but the history was great to read and look at . The older monuments were so intricate and details and some were unbelievable. I would highly recommend and so wish we had planned to spend the whole day because I am sure there is so much we did not see.
