Allow plenty of time for your visit, there is alot to see. Although our Nashville Zoo is nice, there are so many more animals at this zoo. It is really pretty, well taken care of and clean and the zoo staff was very friendly and helpful. The food shops will give free ice water if you ask. The Dippin' Dots staff even asked us about animals and fish which was cool. The map was helpful, it made sure we didn't miss anything. Great zoo...we will definitely go back.

This zoo has a wide variety of animals but I think the landscaping is the real gem. The plantings throughout the zoo are spectacular. Also don't discount the insect or bird house, they were two of the most interesting exhibits I saw.

If they cant be in the wild, this is the next best thing. You can not miss this zoo. It is also a Botanical gardens weaved amoughst the animals. Some hills to walk but that gives it its charm.

Very nice zoo. There are uphill paths, so be prepared to walk and at an incline for some of it. The tram does not allow strollers (even folded ones) on it. The food at the cafe (near the train) is really good - lots of fresh fruit, salads, pizza, and mini corn dogs for the kids. We had a family gold membership for the last year and got free parking with it and a reduction on food prices. They are re-doing some of the grounds, including the reptile house.
