When you plan your trip to Cincinnati you must go and visit.
First when you walk in its an old train station and amazing, its so cool looking.
We chose to see 2 museums, the Natural History and the childrens
The Natural History is a must see, there were so many surprises in it. I dont wanna spoil the fun but make sure you see the ants and go into the cave.
The Childrens Museum was fun the kids loved it.
I wished it stayed open till 9pm, you should get there at open cause we ran out of time, there is so much to see

We loved the Children's Museum and Dinosaur exhibit. This was one of the highlights in our Cincinnati visit. Our 2 year old spend almost 3 hours exploring the different areas in the children's museum. It is very hands on and can entertain/teach children up to around 7/8 years old.

We also loved the use of the old train station and converting it over to a museum. It is a great landmark and you can go up to the old controllers room and look over the switchyard and see the old control board. Really cool.

My only complaint is that the price schedule is a little confusing and not explained very well unless you ask the right questions.

What a way to spend a day! Our son actually thought we were going to the Justice League headquarters for superheroes based on the outside appearance but I doubt he was disappointed. The Children's Museum is ideal for all kids from 2-10. There are many activities to keep them busy. The Natural Science Museum was a little less hands-on but was consuming for all. The cave was "explored" by the youngsters in our group and what child doesn't want to stare at a dinosaur? This site (with its other options) can truly take an entire day but we only chose to visit these 2 museums as we planned to spend 3-4 hours.

Our children love the Museum Center. The Children's museum is great fun for preschoolers and early elementary school children. The Natural History museum is worth hours of exploration. My kids went through the cave several times. The people at the Trading Post area of the Natural History Museum are outstanding. Check out the "Nature's Trading Post " part of the website and be sure to have your children bring in rocks, fossils or other items to trade for goodies. We enjoyed the scavenger hunt (forms from the Trading Post). My children could have spent hours in the gift shop, where my rock-hound daughter got a beautiful agate slice for $4 and an interesting piece of petrified dinosaur poo for $6.
