This is possibly the best museum center I have ever been to. It is call Union Terminal because it is an old and still operating train terminal. The have beautiful mosaics in the huge dome and the architecture is amazing before you even enter any of the several museums indoors. There is an omnimax theater that is always a one of a kind experience. Childrens Museum there is an all day winner for any kid to get lost in. You can't go wrong no matter what age, very inexpensive as well!

My 5 year old could've stayed here for 5 hours. Easily. We've been to quite a few children's museums - this is one of the better ones.

We went here along with the other museums in the building. It is a good little museum about the history of the area. Be sure not to miss the basement. The coolest part is definitely the city replica.

this museum is extensive and takes hours to see it all. The kid's area has many interactive spots, and a tree house to climb. There is a strong educational component, and there is an IMAX theatre. The location is beautiful, in a former train station from WWII, that is well maintained, and large. Overall, a fun day for the kids.

This is an interesting place to visit, assuming you come here early. The main attraction right now, as you know, are the Dead Sea Scrolls. Even though I’m definitely interested in theology and Biblical history, I can’t say seeing these is a big deal: they’re just scrolls with writing on them that you can’t understand. And this is the busiest part of the museum, so you’ll have to get there right when it opens if you want to see anything.

There is also an Omnimax Theater that shows movies designed to take advantage of the screen’s special design. The museum also houses a look at history. One section of it focuses on Native Americans and early European settlers while other parts of it are more recent, looking at Cincinnati during the World Wars. You’ll definitely want to see a huge model they have depicting Cincinnati during that era.

Keep in mind that the museum often has special seasonal displays. For instance, around Christmastime, there’s a huge model train display full of festive themes. My family, particularly my dad, enjoyed it.

The gift shops are full of fun things, from shot glasses to stuffed animals and from educational books to toys. Definitely check them out. And don’t miss the beautiful mural on the ceiling right at the entrance/exit.

Overall, this is a good museum, but keep in mind that it’s pricey. Try to find coupons online if you can.
