“Childrens Museum”

This museum is wonderful. A great place to let the kids roam and play, I love the treehouse area and the water play area is so much fun for the little ones to play. The best deal is to buy a family membership pass for the whole year because it includes parking and discounts off of ominmax tickets and in all the shops here and it will also get you admission to many other museums around the country. There is so much to do here at the museum center that you will want to visit all three museums.

“Even the building itself is worth a visit.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

A beautiful art deco entrance with WPA mosaics depicting the history of the settlement of the Ohio Valley and its place as a hub of farming and industry, the former Cincinnati Railroad Station has been tranformed into a wonderful Museums with important major exhibits. We were there to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit and it was very well presented. It also includes a Children's and Natural History Museum in this wonderful complex that is easy to get to. Just the entrance hall itself is worth a visit.

“Really great Museum!!”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

I took 3 boys here on a Saturday, getting there when it opened at 10A. It encompasses 3 museums for 1 price - a Children's Museum, History Museum, and Natural History Museum. We started in the Children's museum, which as a lot of fun, with a great, forest theme playground with hollow logs, fish tanks, tunnels, cave, catwalks and all kinds of secret passages. They then played at the extensive water table with all kinds of dams, locks, and splash equipment. We then continued to the Ball area, which had lots of conveyor belts, tubes, ball drops, and other things you can throw balls into or shoot them out of. They have a domed Omnimax theater, which was really cool. The history museum has large trains and dioramas depicting Cincinnati in past times, recreations of indians and their lifestyles, old military fort life and artifacts, a full sized flat boat and steam boat you can go onto, and lot of other Cincinnati history. The Natural history museum has a lot of fossils, prehistoric skeletons as well as a simulated Ice Cave and prehistoric environments and animals that you can walk through. The boys did not want to leave until the museum closed at 5 pm. Not expensive and overall a terrific educational and fun experience!!

Exhibit was fantastic but the crowd control in the main part of the exhibit was poor. THe adiotape was well worth the extra $4.50.

“Fun for the entire family”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

This was a last minute what to do today trip. Plenty of parking at a reasonable rate, six dollars per car. Four adults and five children plus an infant so the All Museum tickets seemed pricey but it was a good deal after all. The kids loved the climbing tree, perhaps because they could get away from the parents, it was very safe with enclosed ladders and nets. Next came the crane with soft rocks to scoop and dump, this had only a few places that allowed the kids to interact with so taking turns was the order of the day. The water area is a raised metal trough with piped water, spigots, buckets and toys, of course even with sleeves rolled up everyone came away wet. We also toured the Natural History portion of the building but ran out of time before seeing everything. If you go plan to get there at opening time and staying all day.
