My wife and I have 3 girls under 5 and this place is a good regular outing for us. We liked it so much in the winter that we got a membership which includes parking. We basically went in with another family and got a 50% discount.

Anyway, the place has tons of stuff for my clan. Namely the huge sandbox in the natural history wing and the bat cave. My 4 year old loves it. There is also a whole section for children which includes a tree house, aquatic play area, and lots of make believe sections. I highly recommend this museum as a great inside day event.

In addition to some fine museums in the complex, the facility itself is amazing. While there is a modest parking fee, the building is free to enter, and there is a 1930s/1940s newsreel theater with films to watch, at no charge. There is also food service and a truly charming ice cream shop. The art deco architecture is truly awe-inspiring. If you liked the city in the movie the Wizard of Oz, this place is for you. Bottom line: I stop by whenever I have some spare time in Cincinnati.

I don't understand why most attractions in Cincinnati are overpriced and this one particularly gouges on parking BUT a visit to the historic Union Terminal is a must and the History museum with it's 1940's Cincinnati cityscape and 1900's riverfront set and actors is amazing. The Omnimax is always worth a visit also.

Visited with family and this is a great place for bringing kids and grand parents like. The museum has an IMAX theater with three different movies showing on the same date and plenty of time slots for viewing options. There are three different exhibit halls inside the museum: natural history, Cincinnati history, and children's science and learning area. It has enough attractions to keep the youngsters busy for 4-5 hours. Admissions and IMAX tickets are reasonably priced. The only drawback with our visit is the lunch service. Even with about 20 people waiting, it took almost an hour for us to place order and receive the foods. The food service area is definitely not capable of handling a lot of people. Other than that, all is well.

Very interesting, but way to expensive. $20.00 per adult. Lots of history and reading. Vocal tour is available for extra money.
